Survivor was positioned as an ultra rugged protection option in a 81.4 billion global mobile phone accessory market (2019). With Otterbox taking the majority of that revenue, Survivor was in need of a refresh to boost sales and take from that market share.
As project lead I was tasked with establishing a new design language and increasing the performance of the Survivor line . By heavily researching out customer base, using a proprietary impact damping material (FORTICORE), and a generative pattern we were able to make a more cost effective line of cases that out performed and was slimmer than the competition.

The Solar System is full of planets, moons, asteroids, comets and other exciting objects. It can be difficult for beginners to know where to look to view these things.
The Celestron Evolution 8 telescope has integrated wifi that allows a new user to explore the universe with a tap of their smartphone or tablet. The Evolution 8 can also be used in manual mode by unlocking 2 large manual controls that adjust azimuth and altitude. This allows the telescope to grow with the users knowledge of the solar system.
Users of the old version of the telescope complained about how awkward transporting the telescope was. I added large handles with different hand positions make it easier the the user to transport and move the unit to any desired location.
A subtle red LED hidden on the interior of the arm illuminates the tray and azimuth manual mode lock area allowing easy access to extra lenses without disrupting night vision.
Lum Design Associates
The JBL GX automotive amplifiers are a slim alternative to the bulky automotive amps on the market. The slim profile and small footprint are ideal for placing under a seat or in the trunk without taking up a large amount of room.
Overheating is a factor when it comes to prolonged use of an amplifier. Too much heat will cause the amp to shut down causing a negative user experience. Ventilation and heat dissipation were issues we concentrated on by adding large heat sinks on the top of the cast metal housing. The large heat sinks create more surface area and help dissipate heat.
The amp comes in 3 versions a 2 channel, 4 channel, & mono block.
Saw Concept
This concept was my interpretation of what a Toughbuilt reciprocating saw could look like.
Toughbuilt products are designed to be used in the construction field. Defined lines, structural patterns , large ribs add percieved strength and ruggedness to the aesthetics of the product.
Light/level and handle/ scraper attachments add modularity and a chance for the user to customize the tool depending on the job.
Western Digital
Designed for the photographer, adventurer, traveler, or student on the go, this durable case is built to protect My Passport Essential, My Passport Essential SE, My Passport Elite, My Passport for Mac, or My Passport SE for Mac portable hard drives. With impact-resistant, polycarbonate, plastic on the outside and a shock-absorbing, elastomer cushion on the inside to protect the drive inside from scratches and from drops as high as 7 ft. The heavy-duty latch securely closes the case and the silicone lining provides a tight barrier against spills, moisture, dust, and dirt. With an opening for your drive's USB connector, you don't have to take the drive out of the case to use it. Just plug the USB cable in, and it's ready to go and fully protected. The opening also features a unique sealing cover to keep moisture out when the drive is not plugged in.
Incipio Group
The BEAM is a hand held medical scanner that can be paired with an iPhone 6, 7 or 8. The device can monitors a patients health, administered medication, treatment and information giving a more consistent and overall medical care experience for the patient.
Medical grade plastics are silicone are used for the product housing and a PET screen protector maintains the phone enclosed form any bacteria or other biological growth. Interior TPU bumper encases the phone and adds 6FT of drop protection to the device.
The device can be charged on a dock or the user can swap out a removable 2500 frequently rechargeable lithium ion battery. This makes the BEAM able to be used for prolonged periods of time, ideal for medical professionals who frequently have 12 hrs shifts.

The Sherman messenger brief is a tactical midsized laptop bag targeted towards military, law enforcement, and shooters.
The outter panels of the bag are made with 600D Cordura for added strength and durability. There is a conceal carry compartment with locking zippers that is California Conceal Carry compliant, MOLLE system that can double the bags capacity and a microfiber lined & paded laptop compartment that can fit a 15" Macbook Pro. We also added two large locking single release buckles give added protection and security to the contents of the bag. A large outter side pocket can hold a 32oz water bottle.
The 5.11 tactical case concepts are purpose driven cases that are meant to be appeal to the all spectrum of the 5.11 user from military, law enforcement, hunters, public safety personnel but also appeal to civilians
